GAMETHREAD: v. Southern, 5pm

This game was moved up to today due to some terrible weather currently crossing the state. It's going to be tough to get this one in today as it is.

Southern was off to a great start, getting a pair of wins against SWAC teams in a Houston tournament and sweeping their opening conference series. Along the way, legendary Southern coach Roger Cador picked up his 800th career victory (amazingly, all of them at his Alma Mater). The Jags hit a snag at the beginning of March though, and only just ended a 7 game losing streak by preventing a sweep by Prairie View A&M on Sunday. Southern is batting .253 as a team and is led by OF Rowry (.381 BA/.540 SLG/.432 OBP) and INF Hopkins (.372 BA/.651 SLG/.491 OBP). Southern will put their best reliever on the mound for the start in LHP John Thigpen (0.90 ERA 20IP/5App 1SV .200BA against)

LSU will counter with Cody Glenn in his second start. Last time out v Grambling, Glenn K'd his first 4 batters before giving up 4 runs on 8 hits and being pulled in the 4th. No doubt the hope is that he lasts a bit longer this time. I'm not sure if there will be any other lineup changes. I do hope we can get this one in, we've already got that Notre Dame game to makeup later this season.

LSU - Fr. LHP Cody Glenn (1-0, 5.59 ERA, 9.2 IP, 4 BB, 12 SO)
SU - Fr. LHP John Thigpen (1-1, 0.90 ERA, 20.0 IP, 8 BB, 14 SO)
