This is it. Win or go home.
After avoiding the answer all day, Stony Brook is going with Frankie Vanderka (2.43 ERA, 2-3, 55.2 IP/19 App, 42 SO/18 BB, 5 saves, 2 CG, .185 BA Against), a Sophmore and their best closer who's done a bit of everything for Stony Brook but only started 3 games this season. We saw Vanderka earlier on Saturday as he pitched the 12th inning resumption of game 1 and only got 1 out before giving up 2 hits, an INT walk, and the winning RBI. The best news for LSU is that we won't have to see Tyler Johnson again, but I would say most, if not all of their bullpen is available tonight.
For LSU, Eades gets the ball and backing him up will be everybody except possibly Joe Broussard. Even Chris Cotton, who pitched 3 innings on Friday, will likely be ready and wanting the ball if it comes to that.
The skies are clear (enough), the field is (mostly) dry, and the lights are on in Alex Box. See you in the dogpile.
(LSU won the coin toss on Friday and will be the Home Team tonight)
