Freshman running back Jeryl Brazil has been dismissed from the LSU football program this afternoon following his third run-in with the law, including a warrant for Brazil's arrest. Michael Bonnette tweeted that the program had never officially reinstated Brazil to the team after his second incident in LSU’s West Campus Apartments in October, but regardless he is now officially dismissed from the program.

In early September, Brazil received a misdemeanor summons for his role in a fight. His second summons was for simple battery and simply criminal damage to property. Brazil’s final stat line at LSU is two carries for 10 yards during this year’s game against UAB. His actions during his short time in Baton Rouge cast an enormous shadow on the promise he brought to LSU’s 2013 recruiting class. Let’s hope he can get his head right now that he’s officially out of the program.
