BATON ROUGE -- Eight hours after arriving in Baton Rouge after winning the Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament Championship, the LSU baseball team learned it will face SWAC champion Jackson State in the opening game of the NCAA Regional held at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field on Friday.

LSU (52-9) earned a No. 4 national seed after knocking off No. 1-ranked Vanderbilt, 5-4 in 11 innings on Sunday afternoon to earn the championship. With its national seed, the Tigers are guaranteed to play at home should they advance to the best-of-three Super Regional (June 8-10).
Opposite LSU and Jackson State in the Baton Rouge Regional are Sam Houston State and Louisiana-Lafayette. The NCAA Regional is a four-team, double elimination bracket played from Friday, May 31, through Sunday, June 2, or Monday, June 3, if game 7 is necessary.

NCAA Regional Ticket Info
Regional tickets are on sale to LSU baseball season ticket holders until 5 p.m. CT on Tuesday, May 28. Regional ticket booklets, good for all games, are $100 (suites and Champion's Club), $75 (gold field box, gold grandstand and grandstand) and $50 (bleachers and standing room only). All parking passes are $60. All tickets will be either held at will-call and available at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office until 5 p.m. on Thursday, at the Alex Box ticket office Friday, shipped via FedEx on Tuesday, or will be available to print at home depending on the option the season ticket holder requested.
Any available all-session booklets will go on sale to the general public Thursday, May 30, at 8 am. Any available individual-session tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday morning at 8 a.m. Game 7 tickets will not go on-sale unless necessary after the conclusion of Game 6. On-sale information will be announced after Game 6 if necessary. Individual session tickets are $10.
