The class of 2015 kicker from Catholic High in Baton Rouge announced his commitment to LSU after the Tigers wild win over Ole Miss this weekend. Gonsoulin tweeted out Saturday night after the game:

Being only 15 minutes from LSU's campus probably has something to do with Gonsoulin's decision, but the kid truly has a leg. Gonsoulin was ranked as the No.2 kicker in the 2015 class by Chris Sailer Kicking which is a kicker camp that partners with the Army All-American Bowl. He has been seen hitting 55-60 yarders in warmups and I have seen him, with my own eyes, put extra points in the street at Olympia Stadium. Gonsoulin is a solid kicker, but it wouldn't hurt mentioning he is an excellent punter as well. Just go ahead and watch the video at the end.
Gonsoulin is the only kicker for LSU in the 2015 class, but will be joining a stable of young placekickers once he is on LSU's roster.
