Update: Deshawn Raymond Chooses TCU Over LSU

The 2015 4-star cornerback prospect has chosen TCU.

2015 Cornerback Deshawn Raymond
2015 Cornerback Deshawn Raymond

Deshawn Raymond is a 4-star corner out of East Jefferson High School in Metairie. Raymond has a solid top five featuring LSU, TCU, Arkansas, Nebraska and Mississippi State. This one is primarily between TCU and LSU I believe, but it is recruiting so who knows where he lands.

He is a talented corner with great size at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds. His strengths are definitely more on the athletic side of the spectrum. Raymond can run with the best of 'em and jump through the roof. His only "downfalls" are his tackling and pursuit in the run game. Obviously he will be relied upon more in passing situations so his tackling will not be exposed often, but give him some collegiate coaching and I assure you his tackling will drastically improve. Raymond is one of the top corners in his class and whichever school snags him will definitely be getting themselves a shutdown playmaker.

UPDATE: Raymond Commits To TCU

He will be taking his talents to Fort Worth and was hauled in by Phil Petty. TCU's 2015 class now has 17 commits and is ranked No.37 overall in the nation and No.6 in the Big XII according to 247 Sports. He is the top recruit on TCU's board.
