Tiger Bait Review: Week 11

Our weekly recap of how LSU’s 12 scheduled opponents fared the previous weekend.

Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

Wisconsin (7-2, 4-1 in the Big 10)

Melvin Gordon rushed for 205 yards with a touchdown rushing and receiving as Wisconsin squashed Purdue 34-16. B5Q discusses the big win here and prepares for a big B1G West showdown with Nebraska.

Sam Houston State (6-4, 5-1 in the FCS Southland Conference)

Bearkats picked up a fifth Southland Conference win over Incarnate Word, 40-19.

ULM (3-6, 2-3 in the Sun Belt)

A 39-yard field goal in the final minute by Bentlee Critcher handed the Warhawks their sixth loss of the season to Appalachian State, 31-28.

Mississippi State (9-0, 5-0)

Dak Prescott threw two touchdowns, added another rushing and had 260 yards of total offense as the Bulldogs handled their final non-conference cupcake, Tennessee-Martin, 45-16.

New Mexico State (2-8, 1-5 in the Sun Belt)

ULL rushed for 244 yards and cruised to a 44-16 win over the first Aggies.

Auburn (7-2, 4-2 in SEC play)

A series of timely turnovers and a big day on offense helped Texas A&M sneak up on No. 3 Auburn, 41-38. A controversial fumbled snap late helped the Aggies run the clock out. College and Magnolia is taking things in stride as best they can, and lauding a pretty solid performance out of Nick Marshall.

Florida (5-3, 4-3)

Holy hell -- two in a row! Florida keeps pace in the suddenly tight SEC East race with a 34-10 win over Vanderbilt. Treon Harris passed for 215 yards and rushed for two touchdowns in leading the Gators to 400-plus yards of offense for the second week in a row.

Kentucky (5-5, 2-5)

Georgia rushed for 305 yards and Hutson Mason passed for four touchdowns as the Wildcats got boat-raced by the Bulldogs, 63-31. Chances for bowl eligibility are running out for the Wildcats.

Ole Miss (8-2, 4-2)

The Rebels rushed for 402 yards in a squash match over Presbyterian, 48-0. More importantly, Laquon Treadwell appeared to be in good spirits.

Alabama (8-1, 5-1)

Yeah, yeah.

Arkansas (4-5, 0-5)

Bye week for the Razorbacks. Wouldn't mind having another weekend before we played them:

Texas A&M (7-3, 3-3)

Kyle Allen passed for 277 yards and four touchdowns as the Second Aggies pulled out their marquee SEC win of the year over the third-ranked other Tigers. Good Bull Hunting, naturally, has their own retort to the fumbled snap. In other news, freshman Myles Garrett ran his freshman conference sack record to 11.
