Visitors List For Alabama Game

HOLY RECRUITS Y'ALL

Guys, if you thought the list for Ole Miss was impressive...you are going to love the list for this weekend.

75 recruits are coming this weekend. SEVENTY. FIVE. TARGETS. That is a lot of high school talent watching some LSU football in what is sure to be an electric atmosphere.

And these aren't some scrubs just hanging out on the sideline. Out of the 75 visitors: 12 5-stars, 40 4-stars, 9 3-stars, 1 2-star and 13 unranked.

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW.

I will go ahead and spotlight a few of these guys and why their visit is so crucial for us.

The Officials

Four official visits will be taken this weekend by some big name talents: Kevin Toliver II, Matthew Burrell, Malik Jefferson and William Sweet. These four players are impressive recruits and would be a huge get for any school. Toliver has been committed to LSU since November of 2012, but now that it is his senior season and singing day is imminent, he is taking the recruiting process more in-depth than ever. He will use all of his official visits to make sure he is making the correct choice. He should remain firm to his LSU commitment by signing day.

Sweet is actually a North Carolina commit, but has been considered a LSU lean for awhile now and this official visit could be just the thing LSU needs in order to flip him. Sweet is an offensive linemen the Tigers could definitely use in the future especially with so many departures coming soon.

Now the other two prospects on officials are a bit more on the outside looking in. Malik Jefferson and Matthew Burrell are guys we could surely use and use them soon. Jefferson, the top OLB in the country is from Mequite, Texas and is considered to be in a battle between A&M and Texas. Who knows what can happen if the game lives up to the hype this weekend and Jefferson enjoys himself. Burrell on the other hand is from Virginia and has been considered almost a lock for Ohio State. Penn state has been another school mentioned to be on his tail, but LSU has Jeff Grimes on their side. Grimes has been on Burrell's case since coming to Baton Rouge this year so it will be interesting to see where his mind is at after this weekend.

The "Maybe's" and "Supposed To's"

The dynamic duo that is Damarkus Lodge and Justin McMillan were supposed to be in Baton Rouge this weekend, but were unable to make this trip. McMillan is a lock and should enroll early in the spring, But Lodge is a big-time player that would be a monster commit for LSU. He is a former A&M commit so it is tough to name a leader for him at this point, but with a solid visit this weekend, it could have been LSU.

And now on to Cordell Broadus and Kris Boyd...These two have wanted to visit LSU for awhile now and for them to come to Baton Rouge on their own would be huge for LSU, especially Broadus. He is an elite wide receiver for the top high school football team in the country, literally and is in the classic USC/UCLA battle. But Broadus has been quoted saying that he wanted to take an official to LSU a few months ago. He still has room for one and the fact he could be in Baton Rouge for an unofficial all the way from Las Vegas could be positive for LSU. Boyd however has not exactly had LSU on the top of his list. He is in another recruiting classic between A&M and Texas, but his visit to LSU is not an official so I would almost always consider that a positive sign, if he shows up of course.

With so many big names on campus in such an exciting an environment I can not wait for the game on Saturday. Hopefully all these recruits will enjoy their time here in Baton Rouge and consider LSU as a serious option. Here is the full list of recruits for this weekend.
