Now that the playoff committee has done it's job and served the old-money interests, the rest of the bowl slotting came down and it looks like the second-place choice in our poll carries the day, as LSU heads up to Nashville, Tenn. to take on the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish in the Music City Bowl.
The 7-5 Irish grab the slot by nature of their friends-with-benefits deal with the ACC. You can learn more about the Irish at One Foot Down, their SB Nation affiliate. Not that any of us need reasons to gin up some hate for Notre Dame.
