LSU still clocked in in the Top 10 for attendance, for the 14th straight season, at #8 in the country with an average of 91,418 fans per game. LSU is 4th in the SEC, behind Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia, all who have larger stadiums. In terms of % of the stadium filled, LSU ranked behind UGA (sell-out), Alabama (about 99.6%), and in front of Tennessee (93.2%). LSU had about 98.7% of the stadium filled this year.
Report: LSU interviewing Daye for coaching opening | Tiger Tracks - As many know, Thomas McGaughey left LSU to take the ST job with the New York Jets. LSU since has been looking for a new ST coaches job and it's being reported here that current Missouri Southern State HC Daryl Daye, who played at LSU in the 1980's under Bill Arnsparger, was an assistant under Mike Archer, and who's father played for LSU on the 1958 National Championship team, will be getting an interview for the job. I'd expect the talk of who will fill the ST vacancy will heat up in the coming days.
