Linebacker Donnie Alexander of Edna Karr High School in New Orleans has signed his national letter of intent to become part of LSU's 2014 recruiting class.
Alexander, listed at 6-1, 205 pounds, is a three-star recruit, rated 35th as a linebacker in the 247 Sports Composite ratings and 478th overall. He's ranked as the 21st player in the state of Louisiana, and was one of the earliest members of this class, committing in February of his junior year.
He had 97 tackles, six sacks and two interceptions his senior season, helping to guide Karr to the state title game along with other stud recruits like Speedy Noil and Gerald Willis III. His other suitors included Illinois and Louisiana Tech.
