Safety recruit Jamal Adams of Hebron High School in Lewisville, TX has joined LSU's recruiting class and faxed his letter of intent.
Adams (6'0", 199) is a 5-star recruit and rated #31 in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He's the no. 2 safety in the nation, and no. 5 overall player in the state of Texas. His offer list ranges from Florida to Texas to A&M to Michigan on down. He chose the Tigers over Florida, Ole Miss and Texas at the Under Armour All-American Game on January 2nd.
Adams is a hard-hitting safety prospect that flashes the athleticism to be effective in coverage. He registered 79 tackles, 1 INT, 1 FF, 1 FR, 2 kickoff return TDs, 215 rushing yards, 5 rushing TDs, 17 catches for 459 yards and 9 receiving TDs his senior season. He's a safety all the way at the collegiate level, and with his build and athleticism, he should contend for early playing time.
