Strengths

Strong, athletic, well-built linebacker...long arms that can envelop the ball carrier or engage and shed blockers well...strong at the point of attack, with enough speed to pursue...changes direction well...gym rat and a hard worker that was respected by his teammates.

Weaknesses

Not an elite athlete for his size...struggles with recognition and reaction, leaves him extremely vulnerable in coverage or to misdirection...not a great upfield attacker and will catch a ball-carrier rather than attack him...more of a chase/pursuit linebacker and didn't make many plays on his own at the point of attack.

Verdict

Barrow will test well and he'll look the part of a 4-3 weakside linebacker, particularly in a cover-two type of scheme. That said, his tape will underwhelm. Barrow was brutal in space his senior season, particularly against spread running teams. In 2012, middle linebacker Kevin Minter was good enough to cover for a lot of Barrow's mistakes. He also didn't handle a lot of the signaling and setting of the Tiger defensive front. That said, Barrow has played a lot of football at a big-time program, and that will likely get him into an NFL training camp. Expect him to be a 6-7-round pick or a priority undrafted free agent.
