Our, now former, star quarterback has a new home in Nashville.
Mettenberger's been an interesting prospect this draft season due to his late season injury as well as a reported failed drug test as this year's NFL combine. There's also murmurings of a lower back injury.
There's little question about Mettenberger's physical tools, yet most saw him as a 4th-5th round pick. Mettenberger is not an elite athlete at the position, but he does possess prototypical size and that big cannon arm that NFL teams covet. Mettenberger's so-so Junior year, past disciplinary issues and late-season injury likely drove him down draft boards.
He fell all the way to Round 6, but wound up in a great spot in Tennessee, who is not only not settled at the QB position but starting fresh with a new coach with no loyalties to Jake Locker. That said, as a 6th round pick, the climb is steep for Mettenberger. He'll need to get healthy and prove he's worthy of a roster spot.

Congrats, Zach!
