Alfred Blue will be heading to Houston to begin his professional career.
Blue called it a career early at LSU, departing after his Junior season. Getting drafted, even this low, proves he probably made the right decision with carries drying up in the Tigers backfield and super-recruit Leonard Fournette heading to campus.
An interesting nugget from Mike Detillier on Twitter:
LSU coaches tried to talk H. Texans pick RB. Alfred Blue to move to safety before his junior season. Terrific athlete.

Blue's injury in 2012 seemed to derail his career a bit. He got off to a tremendous start and once he returned he never looked like quite the same back. That said, ACL injuries often take a full year of recovery, unless you are a machine like Adrian Peterson.
Houston's roster features seven running backs, including superstar Arian Foster. It will be an uphill battle for Blue to make the team, but he's certainly got a shot, considering his Special Teams chops.

Congrats, Alfred!
