Joe Anderson Commits To LSU...Kind Of...

Three-star Defensive End Joe Anderson Has Committed To LSU.

Student Sports

The 3-star DE out of Reserve, has just committed to LSU as a sign-and-place prospect. Anderson will likely enroll at a junior college, but it's possible LSU could find room for him to sign in 2015 if he can qualify on time and there are still scholarships available.

Joe Anderson is 6-4, 240 pounds and plays weak-side defensive end for Riverside Academy. He has been considered a heavy LSU lean for awhile now, but Mississippi State and Ole Miss were the two other schools in contention for his commitment.

He is a 3-star according to the 247 Composite ratings and is the 34th ranked WDE in the country and the 708th player overall.

The kid is a pretty solid athlete playing tight end and defensive end for his school. He has s nice little frame too that he can add some muscle to and get a bit stronger. He prefers to burn past tackles on the edge and stacks linemen up pretty well in the run game. Overall, he is a pretty raw DE that could really shine if taught some effective pass rushing techniques.

Anderson joins Isaiah Washington as the 2nd defensive line commit for LSU in the 2015 class. With his commitment, LSU now has 19 total commitments and moves just ahead of Notre Dame for the 9th ranked class in the country.
