Week 8 is in the books and two more competitors go down. Poor Jimbo1983, picked Auburn while DrJBH forgot to make a selection. That means we're into single digits! And bye weeks are upon us, so things start to get sticky and choices start to look much more difficult.
I'll track everything on this Google Spreadsheet:
Games for the Week
#19 Ole Miss @ Auburn
South Carolina @ Texas A&M
Georgia @ #11 Florida (neutral site)
Vanderbilt @ #18 Houston
Tennessee @ Kentucky
Woof, that's something.
Ole Miss is heading to Auburn, where they never win. Seriously, they've beaten Auburn just 5 times in 25 matchups since 1990. Only two of those wins came in Auburn, the last one coming in the Eli Manning era. It's been a while. Auburn needs to be Ole Miss, A&M, Georgia OR Alabama to earn bowl eligibility. Upset potential?
South Carolina is very bad. Texas A&M are in a free fall with a lot of drama. This is the derp contest of the weekend. The World's Largest Cocktail party should be a blast. They are playing for the SEC East Crown and this game often veers from the expected outcome. Vandy is probably gonna get trounced by an OOC foe, but they did score their first SEC win of the Mason era! Tennessee rag dolled Kentucky last season, but are coming off a tough, physical, heartbreaking loss and going on the road in what could be a potential trap game for the Vols.
