As part of the Legends Classic and also part of ESPN's Tipoff Marathon, LSU hosted Kennesaw State Monday night and got a dominating performance from its starting five and bench players. The Tigers as a team shot 51 percent from the field for a 91-69 win as the sun set on the team from the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Leading the way for the Tigers was freshman Ben Simmons who scored 22 points to go along with his nine rebounds. He scored six of the the Tigers' first points on the night and spun around the world for an easy bucket putting the Tigers up 16-13.

The rest of the starting five was highlighted by double-digit scoring from Antonio Blakeney. He made a trey from the corner of the key on an assist from Simmons putting LSU up 12-7 at the 15:37 mark of the first half. Simmons later again was credited for an assist as Blakeney scored a jam putting the Tigers up 53-33.

Fellow starter Tim Quarterman was not to be outdone on the night as he drained his third three-pointer to put the Tigers up 56-33.

The bench play was propelled by Josh Gray who turned in a double-digit scoring performance as well. He scored another bucket putting the Tigers up 70-41 not long before Dan Borne echoed through the PMAC, "Josh Gray for three!" He then gave the Tigers 80 points with back-to-back baskets.

The Legends Classic continues Thursday night as LSU hosts South Alabama in a game that can be seen on the SEC Network before the Tigers head to Brooklyn to face a tough Marquette squad.
