Australian punter Josh Growden has committed to LSU after visiting the school this past weekend.
Growden was a member of the AFL rugby club Greater Western Sydney in 2013 and has been training with ProKick Australia.
ProKick Australia has been sending punters to the United States for years now and Growden will join fellow Aussie Jamie Keehn at the position. He is the third Australian punter LSU has signed in the past 6 years with Brad Wing and Jamie Keehn.
Growden broke his leg in August of 2011 and has had a couple more injuries. In an interview with adelaidenow.com, Growden said, "The passion that I had for footy has gone over the past couple of years because I haven't been able to play with all the injuries I had... It was a difficult decision, especially after getting to know the Eagles guys well and it was hard to tell them but I'm more passionate about this."
He is LSU's 20th commitment in the 2015 class which gives LSU five spots available for national signing day.
