LSU picked up it's first new commit on Wednesday as offensive lineman Toby Weathersby of Westfield High School in Houston sent in his letter of intent to be a Tiger.
A former Texas commit, Weathersby dropped the Longhorns from consideration in December, with LSU, Arkansas and Ole Miss jumping in as his major suitors. The 6-4.5, 295-pounder visited LSU two weeks ago, and by all accounts really hit it off with offensive line coach Jeff Grimes. Weathersby is a composite four-star prospect and ranked sixth overall in the offensive tackle rankings in the 247 Sports composite.
