No. 8 Buffalo Chicken Balls
This was one of our write-in entries from readers Justin Goar and Scott Stoneham, and I do have to admit, it sounds pretty damn tasty:
I start with drunk chickens that I roast. I shred all the meat, then mix it with a bunch of mozzarella, provolone, buffalo sauce, pepper, and green onion. I form them into golf ball sized balls, put them thru a standard dredge of flour, egg, and panko bread crumbs, then fry them up.
No. 9 Hushpuppies
Simple. Elegant. Perfect as a fried seafood side. Bits of cornbread dough dropped into oil. If you're good you make sure there's some onions or jalapenos mixed up in. One of my favorite pro-tips is that hushpuppies pair incredibly well with the green jalapeno version of Tabasco.
