Will lead with a big piece of news that was reported yesterday afternoon -- the nation's No. 1 prospect, defensive lineman Rashaaan Gary, will be coming to campus today for an unofficial visit. Gary came in for LSU's Elite Camp two weeks ago, and for him to come back so soon, with his mom, on their own dime could be considered a pretty good sign. We'll monitor the situation and report if anything happens.

Today is LSU football's report date, so we'll have some updates throughout the day as they become available.

But in the meantime, basketball held an open practice on Tuesday, giving media members a chance to get a good look at Ben Simmons, Antonio Blakeney & Co. before they head for their Australia tour. Here's a quick twitter recap:

Over at Tiger Rag, Cody Worsham posted this outstanding breakdown of what he saw during the limited viewing opportunity, including a couple of vines of the stars to be.

Here's some video from the official vimeo account for the program.

Season previews continue -- Matt Hinton has this discussion of the SEC's postseason role after all the playoff controversy last season. Personally, I don't particularly care about the rest of this conference or whether anybody gets in, aside from LSU. The hub for Bill C's previews is of course, here.

Ross Dellenger has some Q&As with the coaching staff over at the Advocate, starting with Frank Wilson and Jeff Grimes.

In other news, the LSU Gymnastics Team earned NINE Scholastic All-America Team spots for the second season in a row. Congrats to the girls.
