Death Valley is one of the most intimidating and intense places to play in all of college football. Each week, I will handcraft a playlist for Tiger fans to listen to in order to ensure that they are at their most HYPE. NSFW.
Thank you for pausing you CHVRCHES/Big Grams/Disclosure jam session to join me.
Early kickoff this week, so why not wake up, put on your best sweatpants, and listen to the subtle jam sessions of Rage Against The Machine? Since this game is technically being played in New York, there's a nice sampling of New York's most famous rappers (Jay Z, Nas, DMX) as well as the Garden State's up and coming rappers (Bas, A$AP Ferg, to an extent A$AP Rocky). 1Train, the final track on the playlist is a veritable who's who of the younger members of the current rap scene (well, in 2013 at least) which not only features Kendrick Lamar taking A$AP's opening verse and slamming it home for the alley oop, but also one of the best verses in recent rap history with Big K.R.I.T's anchor verse. Hell, everybody on the song delivered and it will probably stand as one of the best posse cuts for a long time.
There's a lot of talk of this being a trap game for LSU, and it's true that an early kickoff paired with such a long travel can stir trouble, it all boils down to our team is stacked with savages and they know when it's time to lock in and go to work. Let's take care of business so we can turn out focus to October.
