GAMETHREAD: Men’s Basketball vs. Wake Forest, 8pm, ESPNU

The Tigers tip off against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Thursday night in Winston-Salem, serving as their first “true” away game. So far LSU is 7-0 in the PMAC, and 1-2 at neutral sites (all in The Bahamas). Yesterday, the Wake Forest blog ran a Q&A with me where I actually predicted Wake Forest to be victorious, and not just to please the audience.

LSU has been playing relatively good basketball lately, winning four in a row and only missing a combined 7 free throws over the last two games. That being said, the Tigers are just too untested to trust against a seemingly better team on their home court. If LSU turns the ball over like they have been, it’s an automatic loss, plain and simple. That has got to be stressed tonight.
