D'Andre Christmas-Giles Commits to Texas

Composite four star D'Andre Christmas-Giles is set to make his decision tonight on the eve of National Signing Day.

This feed will go live at 10 p.m. CST. As previously mentioned, Christmas-Giles is widely anticipated to choose the Longhorns and head out of state. Interestingly, Da'Monte Coxie decommitted today. He will not sign an LOI with LSU, unlike Brandon Martin last year, a similar non-qualifier. Could the coaches be trying to clear a spot for another player?

Coxie has since recommitted to LSU, in what is one of the more puzzling stories I've seen in a while. All of that said, as of Monday, LSU still hadn't sent Coxie a LOI to sign. Perhaps the coaches assuaged his concerns and discussed a sign and place deal with him?

At any rate, all eyes will be on Christmas-Giles shortly. LSU's DL class already features 5-star Rashard Lawrence, 4-star Edwin Alexander, 4-star Glen Logan, and 4-star Caleb Roddy. Re-stocking the DL depth has been a major priority for Ed Orgeron this cycle. LSU was late to jump on Christmas-Giles, though he gained much more acclaim later in the process.
