GAMETHREAD: LSU vs. Grambling, 6:30pm, SECN+

What can be said after last night's disaster? LSU gave McNeese a 2 hit game, and looked plain lost at the plate against the Cowboy's pitching staff. LSU's arms never gave up more than 1 run an inning, but they were never dominant either. There was nothing cheap about the 7 runs McNeese scored on 13 hits. While Jake Latz is back, it's clear he's got a long road ahead to reach the status he had before his injuries.

So, with one last chance to get their minds right before heading to Mizzou, LSU faces Grambling in a game that will take a nice chunk out of LSU's RPI no matter what the outcome is. The Grambling St Tigers (15-16, 11-4 in SWAC) are coming off a sweep of Southern and have 0 wins against D1 teams not in the SWAC. They are reportedly starting RHP Jordan White (1-2, 9.10 ERA, 28.2 IP, 20 BB, 13 K) LSU needs to come out with their hair on fire and get back up to speed at the plate, because there will be no time to do so against Mizzou this weekend.
