  • Piece of roster news: wide receiver/fullback Tony Upchurch will be transferring. The thought of a converted wide receiver in the backfield always created some fun possibilities, but Upchurch never really seemed to find any traction at either position. I'm not sure, but I believe LSU should be all set in terms of scholarship numbers and needed roster attrition. Of course, there still may be some based on how the depth chart looks.

  • And how about this piece of news for center Andy Dodd from Saturday?

Congratulations to Dodd and his future Mrs.

  • From a recruiting aspect, no commits, but a number of big visits showed up, including five-star running back Cam Akers, who I'm told is the top target at his position. The paysites all surely have more, but here are a couple of free stories from SEC Country, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's new team-focused site. Sam Spiegelman has a couple stories on linebacker Nardarius Fagan, four-star safety Todd Harris and tight end Kenmore Gamble.
