The Tigers won their third straight game, defeating Northwestern State 6-1 despite a rain delay.
Wednesday's game started on time but a two hour and 17 minute rain delay following the second inning allowed the two teams to breakout some sick rain delay music and dance.

Once the rain left, the LSU offense arrived. Sahvanna Jaquish hit a 3-run home run to open the scoring for the Tigers, plating Bianka Bell and Emily Griggs. The Tiger scoring continued in the next inning, when a Sandra Simmons double scored Amber Serrett.
Allie Walljasper took the circle for the Tigers, pitching a complete game three hitter, striking out seven and allowing just one run.
Following a NSU homer in the top of the sixth, LSU would add some insurance run on a Jaquish RBI single and a Kellsi Kloss RBI double. Jaquish and Kloss both reached base three times against the Lady Demons.
With the win, the Tigers have won nine straight mid-week games and 22 straight non-conference games. Earlier in the week, despite taking two-of-three from Mississippi State over the weekend, continued to fall in the rankings, moving from 11th to 14th in the coaches poll.
The Tigers continue SEC play Friday when they host South Carolina for three games over the weekend.
