Interesting news on the recruiting front yesterday, with reports that LSU has extended an offer to wide receiver Jadon Haselwood, of Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Ga.

Where that gets interesting is that...well...Haselwood is a 2019 prospect...meaning that he's in the spring of his true freshman season.

Haselwood joins the likes of Kevin Toliver (2015), Dylan Moses (2017) and Zadock Dinkelann (2018) on the list of recruits that have received offers their freshman seasons. Haselwood also has offers from Georgia, Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois, Louisville and West Virginia.

He's a 6-3, 190-pound wide receiver, and I have to admit, his highlights are pretty impressive.

Too much, too soon for a 15 year old? Maybe so, but this is how the recruiting game is played nowadays, and it's likely only going to increase with the new satellite camps. To date, LSU has a solid track record with these early offers -- Toliver is a stud, things are reportedly trending up with Moses, and Dinkelmann remains locked in for his class.
