Tigers sign UFA contracts

Departing seniors land deals to go to NFL camps.

Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 NFL Draft wrapped up with some five Tigers -- counting Rashard Robinson-- off the board, and in the hours that followed, more have landed spots with NFL teams as free agents:

Lamar Louis to the Arizona Cardinals

Louis joins Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu and Kevin Minter. Very curious as to whether or not he'll stay on defense or move on over to the offensive side. The Cardinals don't seem all that adverse to undersized linebackers like Minter, but if Louis really devotes himself I think he could add some real physicality to their backfield.

Dillon Gordon to the Philadelphia Eagles

He'll be joining teammate Jalen Mills in Philly, as another Tiger who could be in for a position change. The Eagles have some experience with a converted tight end in left tackle Jason Peters, so there's somebody on hand for Gordon to learn from. If he is staying at tight end, he'd be kind of an outlier compared to players like Zach Ertz and Brent Celeck.

Reid Ferguson to the Buffalo Bills

Ferguson will have to compete with seven-year veteran Garrison Sanborn, so he'll kind of be behind the eight ball a little here.
