SB Nation's Dan Kadar put together a way-too-early 2017 NFL mock draft and unsurprisingly, LSU is already high on the list with three potential first-round picks:
9. Cleveland Browns (via Philadelphia): Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
Fournette is a powerhouse running back who throws defenders around with ease. He's built for the AFC North.
...
24. Dallas Cowboys: Tre'Davious White, CB, LSU
White could have gone pro and been a second- or third-round pick in 2016. Another season in a loaded LSU defense should push him higher up the draft.
25. Arizona Cardinals: Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU
Both Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd are free agents after the season, so the Cardinals may need receiving help in next year's draft.
My early thoughts are 1) please God save Leonard Fournette from Cleveland, 2) would the Cowboys really take another LSU corner -- Mo Claiborne's cousin at that -- after Mo being a pretty noteworthy bust for them, and 3) Zona's always about them Tigers.
Also,
7. New Orleans Saints: Chad Kelly, QB, Ole Miss
This would just be the worst idea ever, which means it'll probably happen.
In other waaaaaay too early draft reports, Bleacher Report's Matt Miller has Fournette and Jamal Adams in the first round, as does CBS Sports' Rob Rang, along with White. Walter Football, however, goes hardest with a whopping SEVEN Tigers: Fournette, Adams, White, Dupre, Lewis Neal, Ethan Pocic and Davon Godchaux.
Of course, until the season is played and the actual evaluation process begins, there's nothing remotely official, or really all that accurate about any of this. Just early projections. But with most of the best players on the team back in 2016, you can bet that regardless of the round, the Tigers will have a ton of players in next year's selection meeting.
