LSU’s Elite Camp weekend has netted the Tigers a pair of offensive line commits, one for the future and one for the Class of 2017 in three-star tackle Seth Stewart of Point Pleasant, West Virgina.
Stewart was originally committed to Marshall, and claims offers from West Virginia, Arkansas and Louisville as well. At 6-8-320, he cuts an imposing figure, and looks fairly light on his feet in his junior highlights.
He’ll need some technique work — bends at the waste a bit much. Pretty impressive run-blocker, although he’s also dwarfing his competition. From reports, Jeff Grimes was able to get Stewart to come down for camp, made the offer and locked up his fourth offensive lineman for the 2017 class. Stewart makes 16 commits for LSU’s class.
In other recruiting news, the Tigers also picked up another 2019 commit in Baton Rouge product Kardell Thomas of Southern Lab.
