24/7 has a full breakdown of the interim staff for LSU for the rest of the season, with head coach Ed Orgeron. For now, LSU’s recruiting staff stays intact, with Austin Thomas being promoted to a new “General manager and personnel director” position and former Tiger Walkon DT Dennis Johnson, who was a GA on the staff, getting his first paying coaching job ever as the new OLB coach.
Orgeron is also bringing in his mentor Pete Jenkins out of retirement to fill his now vacant DL coaching role. Jenkins lives in Baton Rouge and did the same job for Orgeron when he became the interim HC at Southern Cal.
There will be no farewell from Les Miles, at least in any official capacity from LSU. Miles was allowed to address the team yesterday afternoon. SID Michael Bonnette described the meeting on LSU Sixty
LSU has to move on, because there’s another game on Saturday. Orgeron will be introduced as the head coach at a press conference today at 12:30, it will be carried live on SEC Network and SECN+
As for the next step, we’ll have a breakdown of the leading candidates later, but Houston coach Tom Herman is already denying rumors that he’s been contacted.

What is possibly the last time we’ll ever see Les Miles in that trademark hat, here’s the Inside LSU Football Auburn postgame show, followed by player interviews from Sunday after the firing was announced.
I will remember @LSUCoachMiles final speech as my head coach for the rest of my life. Thank you for an opportunity coach. You will be missed
