LSU may get some National Signing Day good news a day early with word that four-star defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis will announce his commitment this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. CST.
A 6-4, 287 prospect from Neville High School in Monroe, Mathis will choose between LSU and Alabama. The 247 Crystal Ball picks currently favor the Tigers, but rumors have been back and forth over this one with each school leading at different points.
