The 2017 U.S. Army High School All-American Game will take place today, airing at Noon, CST on NBC.

While the Under Armour game may have jumped the Army’s showcase in terms of popularity, thanks to the partnership with ESPN, the Army game still draws a ton of top talent to San Antonio each year, and this one is no different.

The Mothership has a good primer on the game up here, including rosters for the East and West teams. While there are no LSU targets set to announce during the game, there are a few recruiting targets for Coach O and Co. that are worth watching:

East Team

  • Running back Cam Akers — the Mississippi native may have committed to Florida State, but LSU will continue to try and recruit him. Plus he’s just pretty damn good to watch.
  • Linebacker Willie Gay — one of the top remaining targets at LB for LSU, and reportedly very interested in the playing time the Tigers can offer.
  • Linebacker Jacob Phillips — an Oklahoma commit at the moment, but one that is reportedly leaning towards switching to the Tigers. Also become very close with Gay through the AA game practices.

West Team

  • Wide receiver Devonta Smith — top-10 receiver prospect out of Amite, La., long thought to be headed out of state to Alabama and even Georgia at one point. But now thought to be leaning back to the home team.

Smith and linebacker Bruce Jordan-Swilling, a Georgia Tech commit, are the only two Louisiana prospects in this year’s game. As always, make sure you follow SB Nation’s national recruiting director, Bud Elliott, during the game (@SBNRecruiting).
