Three-star Ferriday athlete Dantrieze Scott submitted his letter of intent to the Tiger football coaching staff.

The 6’5, 245 pound athlete received three offers according to 247. LSU offered Scott back in his sophomore season with Dennis Johnson playing a key role in securing the commitment, according to SEC Country. Scott committed shortly after attending an LSU camp where he received high praise for his performance.

Scott’s home in Baton Rouge figures to be on the defensive side of the ball. His work at the LSU camp was as a pass rusher, both as a linebacker and out of a three-point stance. Scott also plays tight end for his high school team.

Although K’Lavon Chaisson is the presumed starter at the BUCK position, if Scott’s pass rush ability is as good as advertised, he should find early playing time, even if it is in a situational capacity.
