Three-star athlete Jontre Kirklin has signed his letter of intent with LSU and faxed his paperwork to the Tiger coaching staff.
The 25th-ranked player in the state and 49th athlete nationally, according to 247’s composite rankings, Kirklin is likely headed to the secondary after spending his high school career at quarterback. Kirklin already spent a good portion of the summer preparing for a new position. Although reports on Kirklin say he is going to take some “development” given his background as a passer, many are quick to praise his speed and quickness. Kirklin has been cited for his work ethic and winning pedigree.
Kirklin was one of the first commits of this class, agreeing to join the Tigers back in February of 2016. Although his primary recruiter was listed as Cam Cameron, there was never any sort of buzz he would commit elsewhere.
