Tory Carter Signs with LSU

The Georgia fullback has signed his LOI

NCAA Football: Louisiana State Spring Game Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

Three-star fullback Tory Carter has completed his paperwork and submitted it to the Tiger coaching staff.

247sports ranks Carter as the number two fullback nationally (behind Les Miles’ son, and Nebraska commit Ben Miles) and 116th-ranked player in his state. He committed to the Tigers in May of 2016. He also had offers from Michigan and Troy.

Carter was recruited as a fullback but it’s unclear what his role will be going forward. Immediate playing time, at least on offense, seems unlikely as Carter is behind three other scholarship fullbacks. There is also some uncertainty about how the role of fullbacks will differ under Matt Canada.
