Good news this morning as JUCO defensive end/outside linebacker Travez Moore committed, per his Twitter account:
LSU commit tiger nation‼‼‼‼

Various sites list his height and weight differently. I’ve seen everything from 6’2”, 230 to 6’6”, 250. So somewhere in the middle is probably reality. At any rate, he looks like a DE/OLB that may be a pass rush specialist. Highlights are a bit sparse to find, but this is a player LSU was interested in throughout his high school career out of Bastrop High in Northeast Louisiana, but knew would never make the grades. He’s now at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and will finish out there next fall before arriving at LSU.
After striking out on some defensive line bodies late in the last cycle, it’s good to see the staff getting an early jump on bolstering that depth for the next class. Moore can likely be back counted, which also likely played into the staff’s willingness to pull the trigger on his committable offer.
Moore is the sixth commitment to the 2017 signing class, which currently ranks 5th nationally in the 247 Composite Team Rankings.
