Hines, 6-2.5 and 350 pounds, is a composite four-star and rated 16th at his position for 2018. He is rated as the 33rd overall prospect in the state of Texas, and has offers from Texas, Oklahoma, TCU and Oregon.
Yep, that’s a guard all right. Wide base, big butt and plays with really good pad level. Great in a short area, but wonder if he’ll be able to operate in space on pulls and screens at the next level — may need to drop some weight a bit for that. Likes to get guys on the ground which is definitely #good.
Hines marks the 12th commitment for LSU’s 2018 recruiting class, which currently sits at fourth in the 247 rankings, first in the SEC.
