GAMETHREAD: Ole Miss (22-13) @ LSU (24-12), 2 p.m., SECN+

Rebels and Tigers meet for a rubber match.

Steve Franz / LSU Athletics

It’s simple.

LSU housed Ole Miss 15-2 Friday night.

Despite an otherwise strong outing from Jared Poche’ where he only gave up five hits, Ole Miss went yard on four of them and evened the series up with a 4-1 win.

Today, the series will be settled. Ole Miss will be in their Powder Blues and LSU will be in their Championship Gold.

If LSU wins, then they’ll extend their streak of series wins against Ole Miss to 19. If Ole Miss wins, they’ll have their first series win in Baton Rouge since 1982.

It will be a matchup of two freshman and a contest to see which wide-eyed 18 year old blinks first.

It will begin at 2 p.m. on the SEC Network+, accessible online only via WatchESPN.

Ole Miss: Ryan Rolison (1.99 ERA, 31.2 IP, 4.00 K/BB [36/9])

LSU: Eric Walker (2.45 ERA, 47.2 IP, 3.92 K/BB [47/12])
