One of the more promising players for the 2017 LSU draft class is off the board, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Kendell Beckwith with the final pick of the third round.
Beckwith excelled for three seasons as a middle linebacker before his 2016 season was cut short in the second-to-last game of the year with a knee injury.
Once he’s recovered, Beckwith is a fantastic MIKE linebacker. He had 91 tackles in 10 games last season, and finished his career with 263 career stops. He was still a first-team All-SEC selection in 2016 by the conference coaches, despite his shortened season.
