Miami Selects Davon Godchaux

Yet another LSU defensive linemen in the league.

LSU’s fantastic 2016 defense has put another player in the pros, as the Miami Dolphins selected defensive lineman Davon Godchaux with the 178th pick in the 5th round.

Godchaux, from nearby Plaquemine, started all 12 games for LSU as a defensive end and tackle in Dave Aranda’s 3-4 defense, and finished with six sacks and nine tackles for loss. Godchaux was a three-year starter for LSU, moving into the lineup quickly as a true freshman at tackle.

His experience makes him a versatile choice for multiple styles of defense, and for Miami he’ll likely play Defensive Tackle.
