Will Wade is on an absolute roll.

Will Wade became one of the best LSU basketball coaches even before he coached an actual game in securing commitments from Ja’Vonte Smart, Naz Reid and Darius Days. Now, the Tigers, who were picked to finish last in the SEC this season sit at 12-7, 3-4 in conference, could be primed for an SEC title run next season as the staff added its fourth top-100 recruit to the 2018 class in Emmitt Williams.

Williams, a 6-7 rim-rattling, shot-blocking athletic machine is definitely something this LSU team is missing. On that E1T1 United team he played for in the video above, Williams averaged 17.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per game, along with a 48.3-percent mark from three. While he does need to improve upon and be more consistent with his all-around game on offense, Williams has the high-energy type of play that Will Wade will come to love from him. That love showed during Williams’ recruitment.

With the addition of Smart, Reid, Williams, Days, and center transfer Kavell Bigby-Williams to a young roster with an emerging point guard in freshman Tremont Waters, LSU is poised to do something very special next season. And with a coach that demands success in Will Wade at the helm, you could very well be hearing LSU late in March 2019.
