LSU turned 19 commitments into signees on the first day of the 2019 Early Signing Period, with a strong day that should go a long way towards giving the Tigers a top-five recruiting class this cycle. So let’s revisit a few sights and sounds of the day.
First off, five-star prospect Kardell Thomas’ suit, which I think counts as both a sight and a sound:
Here’s a better look at that suit jacket Kardell has one.

Tiger Rag’s James Moran was at Southern Lab for Thomas and Tyrion Davis’ signings:

In other (literal) big news, the Tigers pulled off a huge coup with four-star nose tackle Siaki “Apu” Ika:
The other big drama of the day came in Mississippi, where LSU battled Ole Miss hard for cornerback recruit Raydarious Jones, who helped keep up the drama himself:

Ed Orgeron, seen here pondering the meaning of life (which probably still involves recruiting).
LSU’s creative services did a nice job on their signing graphics on social media as well.

Fun fact: Trey Palmer is former LSU cornerback Demetrius Hookfin’s nephew.
Linebacker Donte Starks was able to hustle from John Ehret over to Destrehan for John Emery’s announcement:

In closing, it was a great day for the program, BUT DON’T MAKE ED ORGERON COME BACK THERE AND TELL Y’ALL AGAIN
