LSU hosted a Junior Day this weekend, featuring a load of top prospects across the Southeast and Texas from the 2019 signing class. News broke that a big time prospect from Mississippi made his verbal commitment:
The four-star defensive end is ranked 94th in the 247 composite. At 6-5, 260 pounds, he’s the type of physical presence that Dave Aranda recently told the Advocate’s Ross Dellenger would be a prototype for the 4i-tech. Check out his highlights here:
Handy’s really explosive for a guy that’s already sitting at a good college playing weight for a defensive end. He’s raw technique wise, but you can see the physical tools oozing out of his game. This is a big, physical, explosive athlete that could be refined into a superstar talent. Kudos to Meatball and O for getting on Handy. Let’s hope they can keep him in the fold.
Stay tuned. Word is LSU may not be done just yet.
