The Washington Redskins has selected LSU running back Derrius Guice with the 59th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Yes. 59th.
Guice was the eighth back taken off the board — shockingly not in the first round — by (city), and he’ll have a chance in to step in quickly alongside Alex Smith on offense.
Guice, a Baton Rouge native, rushed for 3,074 yards and 29 touchdowns in three years at LSU, despite backing up Leonard Fournette for two years and missing parts of his junior year with an ankle injury. He was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2016, and second-team in 2017.
I hope he keeps receipts on every team that passed on him.
