LSU sends another DB to the professional ranks, with Donte Jackson picked up by the Carolina Panthers in the second round with the 55th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Jackson was one of the fastest players in this draft class, and should likely step in well as a safety or nickel corner early on. He joins a Carolina secondary that could use a few more playmakers after picking off just 10 passes last season.
Jackson was a second-team Coaches All-SEC selection in 2017 with 49 tackles, 10 pass break-ups, a sack and an interception.
