Tons of Rugby on the block this weekend, but the highlight on TV is easily the CFL opening weekend. All 4 games live in the US on ESPN2 is great, but long time CFL fans should be aware that the majority of US CFL coverage this season is going to be behind the ESPN+ paywall. In fact, much of what compromises the oddball “Wide World of Sports” items I use to build this list each week is now going to be behind the ESPN+ service. It’s just unavoidable at this point.

For all you rugby folks (I know you’re out there) plenty of international fixtures and the US Major League Ruby on this weekend, including a New Orleans team (NOLA has a team? This needs further investigation)

We also join the Arena/Indoor Football Leagues near the end of their regular seasons. It’s kinda sad to see this version of the sport in the low state that it currently is in, especially from where it was as a staple of the spring. Oh well.

Have I missed your favorite football-like sport? Shout about it in the comments and include where I an easily find it’s TV schedule and I’ll add it in next week.
