And the Valley Drinks: Second Line Brewing’s A Saison Named Desire

A tasty farmhouse-style ale that fits the weather out right now.

A new in-state brewer started to push some product in the Baton Rouge market as of late, and a recent pickup of Second Line Brewing’s A Saison Named Desire (great name), yielded a really nice summer beer.

A classic Saison brewed with orange zest and Moro blood orange. Light, refreshing, balanced and perfect for any occasion.

BITTERNESS: 27 IBUs

ALCOHOL: 5.6%

Review:

Malty, very saison-y bouquet with those fruity notes of banana or pineapple. Prickly texture on the opening, but with that fruity flavor in the middle and a closing kick of that blood orange. Solid, very drinkable beer. 4 out of 5 stars.
